on the road和in the road 都有“在道路上”的意思，但是用法上有不同之处on the road表达在路上的意思时，不强调任何事物，仅仅表达的是在路上的意思，没有侧重点in the road 表达在路上的意思时，强调的是在路的中间，有深入的意思，一般侧重的不是在路上这一层意思，而是为了强调别的事物比如说：不要再路上玩耍 Don't play in the road路上有很多车：There are many cars on the road另外，on the road 还有别的意思：在旅途中，在途中（一般指距离较长的长途旅行）
